An advocacy group Polaris Project recently published a statistical report on human trafficking cases in America. According to the report within five years from 2007 to 2012 about 9000 cases of human trafficking reported. The NHTRC receives tips through phone calls, emails and online reports. The study notes that tips to the NHTRC may represent just a small part of the nation’s overall human trafficking picture.

In the majority of sex trafficking cases, pimps recruited “their victims in social settings by showing romantic interest and later forcing them to provide commercial sex,” according to the study.

It is very alarming  situation that sexual slavery market is rapidly growing in the US and the victims are American minors, read in the following article.

Human sex trafficking of U.S. minors

Reuters reported just last week, “Some 30 million people are enslaved worldwide, trafficked into brothels, forced into manual labour, victims of debt bondage or even born into servitude.”

A percentage is represented in all 162 countries, with almost half being in India. And many would be surprised to discover that the U.S. sexual slavery market is growing – in and outside our country – using none other than American minors. Americans trafficking Americans.

Evil of modern slavery and human trafficking is spreading all over the globe. It is very important to find out the measures to end this global challenge.

How To End Modern Slavery And Human Trafficking

As a survivor of sex slavery, I have dedicated my life’s work to ending it. To many people, the issue of slavery seems like a clear case of right and wrong. The reality is much more complicated. There are many root causes and serious challenges. But these challenges do not stop me from continuing to find solutions to eradicate slavery and empower its survivors as part of the solution. A significant number of people believe that slavery ended in 1863, when in fact, modern slavery exists in every corner of the globe.

Victims of human trafficking are forced to lead a miserable life, pimps push girls into prostitution, employers abuse and assault their domestic workers. They are not provided with sufficient food and appropriate living place. To control human trafficking and such human rights violation goverment should make strict laws. It is important to eradicate causes of human trafficking, to completely end this violence from the world.
